Heesen’s 50m M/Y YN 20150 Project Oslo24 Hits the Water
In a Christmas special like no other, Heesen Yachts’ 50m motor yacht YN 20150, code name Project Oslo24, has officially been launched in the Netherlands, now christened CINDERELLA NOEL IV. Built on the proven design platform of the Dutch yard’s 50-metre Steel series, the new-build features remarkable onboard features alongside a forward-looking hybrid system, in a first-time installation for Heesen.
In an intimate ceremony in the presence of the owners, Heesen was delighted to launch the magnificent 50m Project Oslo24, now named CINDERELLA NOEL IV. A ‘beautiful example’ of what clients who choose to build a Heesen Smart Custom yacht can achieve, the 50m round-bilge steel motor yacht is the perfect showcase of the Dutch yard’s ability to create an owner’s dream yacht, combining quality, customisation and delivery time.
Alongside features from the Heesen platform, CINDERELLA NOEL IV showcases Clifford Denn exteriors and Luca Dini Design & Architecture interiors. Her owner, said to be a passionate and experienced skipper, has had a significant involvement in the 50m’s design, choosing the proven Heesen Steel platform as the foundation for a superyacht that, ‘fully reflects their lifestyle, taste and intended use’. Special features such as the hybrid propulsion system, the reinforced insulation for operating in northern seas, and an elevated crew area for the highly trained and family-oriented team, show how much of an influence the owner has had on her build.
‘Cinderella Noel IV is imbued in every detail with the owners' passion and experience,’ Mark Cavendish, Heesen CCO, shared. ‘The energy they have put into creating a yacht that perfectly suits their lifestyle is impressive. They carefully considered every choice and worked closely with our team of experts to find the most intelligent solutions.
‘The design and build of this 'Smart Custom' yacht has been a wonderful experience for us all at the shipyard, building a yacht that will create lasting memories for this unique family. We are truly honoured they entrusted us with such a special project.’
Other notable features requested by the owner include a unique second steering position on the flybridge, which required the extra installation of a flight of stairs from the wheelhouse, and a foldable mast that allows for easier navigation for planned canal and lock passages.
Stefan Zucker of owners' representatives ZUCKER & PARTNER commented: ‘We had a terrific experience with the clients and the shipyard. Heesen's 'Smart Custom' solution represented the perfect starting point for an experienced yachtsman to concentrate on the important details for him and his family. Cinderella Noel IV is a testament to Heesen's intelligent approach, allowing this family to create their dream machine with the certainty of a result which would have taken considerably more time and cost to build individually without being sufficiently tested.’
Alongside an array of standout additions, CINDERELLA NOEL IV’s interiors have been carefully curated to reflect the desires of her owner. Working closely with Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s engineering team, the owners have chosen a layout to suit their life on board, notably for usability during extended stays, equipped with his and hers working spaces and sliding partitions for versatility and more space and privacy for additional guests.
Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture commented: ‘This project has been a unique experience, driven by the owner's passion and the shipyard's expertise, with every detail analysed and agreed with the clients. This 'Smart Custom' build confirmed Heesen's ability to achieve excellent results and nurture a close relationship with clients to fulfil their special requests.’
The interior design onboard the 50m epitomises quiet luxury and Scandinavian chic. A palette of white, greige, and taupe is complemented by glossy Indian rosewood and dark oak flooring, creating an elegant backdrop for deep blue and musk-green accents. Designed for high northern latitudes, the interior seamlessly compliments her natural surroundings.
Crafted by Foglizzo Atelier, fine leather panels depict antique sea charts of favoured cruising areas and a leitmotif of gentle ripples in the woodwork underscores the yacht's connection with the water. Furniture from Cassina, Paola Lenti, and Toso adds sophistication without ostentation, for a tasteful, harmonious ambience, appealing to multiple generations, with materials chosen for durability and ease of maintenance.
We're looking forward to seeing CINDERELLA NOEL IV in all her glory traversing the northern world very soon.
