Heesen’s 67m M/Y SPARTA Spotted Heading to Sea Trials

67m SPARTA, Heesen’s largest steel motor yacht to date, has been spotted preparing for sea trials in the North Sea. Since her launch in June this year, she has caught attention due to her unique design; a harmonious collaboration between Heesen and Winch Design.

Launched in June 2023, SPARTA is a development of the Project Avanti concept which was presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2018. She is a collaboration between Heesen and Winch Design, who penned both her interiors and exteriors. She embodies strong, aesthetic lines, characterised by a low profile, slender form and a sporty yet sophisticated exterior: a stunningly white superstructure with metallic red and grey accents. Tinted glass along her superstructure contributes to her bold design; a design which has remained true to the original concept, asied from a few minor changes.

SPARTA’s stylish interior is based around three different elements; each deck representative of water, earth, and air. Boasting two separate owner’s suites on a private deck and four guest suites on the main deck, she is able to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The versatility of SPARTA’s design can be seen in the movable partition which is able to separate the forward suites to create a full-beam VIP stateroom or children’s play area, showing how, alongside embracing the theme of the elements, SPARTA also has togetherness and family living at the heart of her design.

Notable features onboard include a Japanese-inspired wellness area, which features an elliptical whirlpool, steam room and gym, a 6.5m infinity pool, and a full-beam main saloon that connects with the low, open-air beach terrace.

SPARTA unsurprisingly has excellent performance capabilities alongside her meticulous design; equipped with twin MTU engines providing her with a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a range of 4,500 nm at 12 knots.
