Heesen’s Project Agnetha Sets a New Standard for Blue-Water Motor Yachts
Heesen Yachts is making waves with the stunning reveal of Project Agnetha, the newest jewel in their celebrated 55-metre Steel Class lineup. Ready to set sail in 2025, this breathtaking blue-water motor yacht combines cutting-edge Dutch craftsmanship with jaw-dropping design and top-tier performance. From her sleek, modern silhouette to her luxurious interiors, Agnetha promises to redefine what it means to cruise in style and comfort on the open seas.
From the first glance, Project Agnetha stands out. Her exterior, crafted by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, features strong horizontal lines and sweeping expanses of tinted glass that stretch across the main and upper decks. The signature 'shark tooth' motif on the wheelhouse overhang adds a distinctive edge, while the pillar-free superstructure at the stern creates a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Whether you’re relaxing in the sky lounge or dining on the main deck, the connection to the sea is uninterrupted and spectacular.
But Agnetha’s beauty is more than skin deep. Underneath her striking profile lies Heesen’s ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form, a feat of engineering that delivers both speed and stability. She reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots and boasts a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots, all while keeping fuel consumption impressively low. This makes her a true go-anywhere yacht, ready for adventures in any sea conditions.
Step inside and you’ll find interiors by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, where warmth and hospitality take centre stage. The design team has created a cosy, traditional atmosphere with a palette of inviting tones, making Agnetha feel like a welcoming retreat for long stays aboard. Twelve guests are accommodated in six beautifully appointed staterooms, including a sprawling owner’s suite on the main deck with its own veranda, four guest cabins on the lower deck, and a VIP suite on the bridge deck. Thirteen crew members ensure every detail is taken care of, whether for private cruising or charter.
Heesen’s commitment to client experience is clear in every aspect of Project Agnetha. As Chief Commercial Officer Mark Cavendish explains,
'The Heesen 55-metre Steel Class is constantly evolving, and Project Agnetha is the result. The beauty of buying this kind of superyacht is that the shipyard has taken care of all the technical aspects and has perfected the platform, incorporating in-depth feedback from our constant dialogue with brokers, owners and captains. So when clients join the project, they can enjoy the fun part of building a superyacht, focusing on all those details that will make the yacht truly theirs.'
CEO Niels Vaessen highlights the shipyard’s decade-long pursuit of excellence, refining the Steel Class to deliver faster timelines, extensive customisation, and the renowned quality of Dutch craftsmanship.
Project Agnetha is a statement of modern elegance, intelligent engineering, and she’s ready to welcome her first owners in 2025.
