Inside the Advanced Videoworks Systems on 55m Severin*s
Videoworks has shared an insight into the advanced systems it has designed for 55m Baglietto superyacht, M/Y Severin*s. Videoworks, a global pioneer of contemporary entertainment and technological systems, was selected to kit out the opulent interiors of Severin*s with AV, IT and CCTV systems.
The work done by Videoworks on M/Y Severin*s has harnessed the most advanced technological solutions to equip the yacht with innovative systems for entertainment, integration and security. This is the latest in over 700 projects on which the leading international has worked on.
Due to the charter functionality of this 6-cabin superyacht, Videoworks focused on AV, IT and CCTV systems, with audio/visual systems now a key requisite for modern superyacht owners. According to Videoworks, modern system integration must be able to support multiple demanding uses at the same time, including watching a live sports fixture in high resolution, listening to music through loudspeakers and browsing the internet in a secure and reliable manner.
The main electronics fuelled this advanced technology have been installed in three cabinets, each with 42 rack units of approximately 2 metres in height. The IT infrastructure is made up entirely of CISCO hardware, ensuring reliability and performance. The AV integrated system is managed through a Crestron CPU, while a Videoworks interface for iPad allows seamless control of the Audio and Video systems.
On the Upper Deck, a Cinema Hall boasts a 90” screen which is illuminated by a Sony 4K projector. Both of these can be controlled from the iPad and can fold away perfectly into a ceiling cover. There is also a 6sqm LED wall in the beach area with 4K resolution to extend the entertainment outdoors. Further installations include a 55” 4K outdoor television on the Sundeck, which has the added excitement of a 180-degree rotation capability. This allows guests to watch TV from the lounge area or even from the bow swimming pool.
Technology and modern entertainment systems are an integral part of delivering the luxury experience which is demanded on board superyachts. Although superyachts are made to explore the outdoors, so much time is spent in the interior and experiences will often relate to the intimate time spent in the yacht’s guest areas. With the expertise and innovation of Videoworks, M/Y Severin*s has been transformed into one of the most technologically advanced superyachts, and we look forward to seeing more from Videoworks in the near future.
