JUBILEE: 61m Hakvoort Masterpiece Finds New Ownership
In a notable transaction that highlights the enduring appeal of exceptional Dutch craftsmanship, the 61m Royal Hakvoort superyacht JUST J’S has sold just six months after coming to market, now proudly renamed JUBILEE. Delivered in 2016, this impressive vessel represents a rare opportunity for a new owner to acquire a yacht that delivers the volume, comfort, and features typically associated with much larger craft.
Built by the renowned Dutch shipyard Royal Hakvoort, JUST J’S (now JUBILEE) stands as one of the largest yachts constructed by the yard to date. Spanning five decks with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers an expansive volume while maintaining a streamlined and elegant profile that belies her substantial presence. Designed inside and out by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, her exterior boasts striking features including enormous windows, a partially closed foredeck for an elongated silhouette, a large sundeck observation area, and a spectacular pool with integrated contraflow jet.
Despite her 61-metre length, JUBILEE feels every bit a 70-metre superyacht thanks to her thoughtful layout and generous proportions. She accommodates up to 16 guests in eight cabins, including a private owner’s deck with a secluded Jacuzzi and breakfast nook. Outdoor living reaches new heights with expansive spaces for every occasion: a sun deck lounge with bar and day head, custom-tiled whirlpool and swimming pool, and an impressive alfresco dining area aft on the owner’s deck that seats up to 14 guests. The interiors blend contemporary modern aesthetics with classical touches, featuring deep blue, silver, and off-white tones on the formal main deck, along with panoramic views throughout and a grand central lift and staircase connecting all levels.
After a decade of cherished family ownership, this sale marks the first time JUST J’S has been offered on the open market, underscoring her exceptional condition and the value recognised by an experienced buyer. The transaction was handled by Manuele Thiella of Royal Yacht International representing the seller, assisted by Camilla Maurizio, with Ed Dickinson of Northrop & Johnson introducing the buyer. Captains Eric and Scott were also commended for their professionalism during the smooth handover.
