Lürssen Delivers 90m Superyacht NORN

By George Bains

90-metre superyacht NORN has become the latest superyacht to be delivered to her owners by iconic German builder, Lürssen. The superyacht features design by Espen Oeino and Dölker + Voges, with Cornelsen & Partner acting as Project Manager throughout the construction.

NORN, also known by her project code 1601, has left the Lürssen facilities to embark on her maiden voyage. The 90-metre superyacht was built for a couple who had previously owned and sailed onboard a 70-metre Lürssen yacht for over 20 years, and returned to the prestigious builder for their next home on the ocean.

The brief required a superyacht that excels in design and engineering to provide seagoing comfort for the family. The owners entrusted the exterior design of NORN to Espen Oeino, who they have worked with on the previous project.

The resulting superyacht profile is striking, with extraordinary features dominated by flat surfaces, straight lines, and angular corners. The interior, created by Dölker + Voges, created complements the precision and elegance of the exterior with the same design themes.

Consistent with the high quality expected from a Lürssen superyacht, NORN benefits from state-of-the-art technology and engineering systems to enhance the experience for guests. This includes zero speed stabilisers, an outdoor cinema, and a liftable pool floor with dance floor illumination.

Electronic anchoring in sensitive and remote areas is facilitated thanks to the use of a dynamic positioning system, ensuring that the seabed is protected regardless of water depth.

Primed and ready to deliver opulence and adventure in style, we are excited to look out for NORN on the waters.
