Lürssen Launches 117m BOARDWALK, a Classic Family Retreat

By Nora Hart

Lürssen has launched BOARDWALK, a 117-metre full custom yacht that reinforces the shipyard’s reputation for craftsmanship at scale. First touching the water last week, the vessel emerges as one of Lürssen’s most intriguing recent projects, with many aspects of her design still held confidential.

The yacht’s exterior and interior styling come from the studios of Frank Woll and Amy Halffman, who have delivered a classical profile defined by clean, timeless lines. Rooted in tradition, BOARDWALK has been shaped under the close direction of her experienced owner, whose input has influenced everything from onboard flow and general arrangement to materiality and aesthetic direction.

Designed as a family-focused retreat on the water, the yacht offers expansive decks and numerous entertainment zones. Among the confirmed amenities are a spacious gym, a dedicated putting green, and two helipads, one positioned forward on the guest deck. Early observations also suggest multiple pools and a Jacuzzi integrated across her upper decks, underscoring her emphasis on leisure and relaxation.

Following her launch, BOARDWALK has now moved to the final outfitting stage at the shipyard’s pier, with delivery scheduled for 2026. As with many of Lürssen’s recent custom builds, further details remain undisclosed for now, lending an additional layer of intrigue to a project already notable for its scale and traditional design ethos.
