Lurssen to Present 55m Project 13800 at Monaco Yacht Show 2021

By Jenna Mehdi

Lurssen Yachts has announced that it will be exhibiting the yard’s latest delivery, 55m Project 13800, at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. Scheduled for delivery this summer, the new Bannenberg & Rowell-designed superyacht will enjoy her world debut at the show.

Having since been re-named Moon Sand, Project 13800 has been a distinctive project for Lurssen Yachts since inception. Known for dominating the ranks of the Top 100 largest yachts in the world, Lurssen will consolidate its prowess in the 55-75 metre range with the completion of Project 13800.

True to the designers’ against-the-grain ethos, Moon Sand sports a ‘fearless’ colour and texture palette, as well as museum-quality interior furnishings to emphasise an astounding attention-to-detail in her design. This is evidenced everywhere from the interior living areas to the technical areas. After significant yachting experience, the 55m yacht’s owners had a very clear brief and lifestyle requirements, resulting in a true customised, expert engineered build.

In a statement, Lurssen sales director Michael Breman comments: ‘We are hopeful that the revamped show concept of the Monaco Yacht Show will be a success and that we will have the opportunity to engage with many new build customers.’
