Major Refit Completed on Heesen’s 47m M/Y SPACE Y

Heesen’s 2006 delivered 47m motor yacht SPACE Y, previously known as ‘Let It Be’, has successfully completed a major refit at Italian shipyard Cantiere Rossini.

Following new ownership in late 2021, Heesen’s 47m SPACE Y recently began a significant refit project, with her new owners choosing the dedicated Italian refit shipyard Cantiere Rossini to complete the works.

Featuring original exterior design by Omega Architects, and interiors by Heesen’s in-house design team, 47m SPACE Y boasts an iconic royal blue hull and white superstructure with an eye-catching red line adorning her waterline.

Overhauling her previous interior and exterior, SPACE Y now features new, contemporary interior design by Italian design studio, Cristiano Gatto Design. Major changes were completed in the main salon and the owner’s cabin as requested by SPACE Y’s new owner, as well as fresh marble decoration in the redesigned owner’s bathroom.

Alongside a revamped interior, the 47m Heesen saw considerable exterior changes on all three exterior decks, which were also designed by Cristiano Gatto Design.

It wasn’t just her profile that saw new updates. The newly named SPACE Y underwent a ‘substantial’ machinery update, completed by Cantiere Rossini, which saw a major overhaul of her main engines, installation of new generators, replacement of propeller shafts as well as other necessary mechanical works.
