Mangusta Launches First Flagship Oceano 50

By Jenna Mehdi

The first unit of the Mangusta Oceano 50 range has been launched in Pisa.

The elegant model of long-range displacement vessels is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. With graceful exterior lines penned by Alberto Mancini in collaboration with the Mangusta Engineering Department, the yacht falls safely within the 500GT mark for a go-anywhere home-at-sea.

Group CEO Maurizio Balducci comments, ‘Today, we are proud and happy to be launching the first 50-metre model, and new flagship, in the Mangusta Oceano displacement line. This is launch number ten for Overmarine Group's metal vessels division - a truly outstanding accomplishment when one considers that the first unit hit the water only five years ago.’

Combining technical in-demand solutions with innovative design, the Mangusta Oceano 50 offers a range of al fresco dining and entertainment areas. Her beach club - equipped with a sauna and spreading over three connected terraces - is a particular highlight, offering guests maximum connection with the sea.

Indoor-outdoor living is one of the principal leitmotifs of this yacht, and a characteristic trait of Mangusta’s shipbuilding. From open spaces to intimate nooks, the Mangusta Oceano 50 is designed with her owner in mind.

With an integrated garage in the forward deck plane, the Mangusta Oceano 50 offers optimised volume and plenty of room for storage.

The yacht reaches a top speed of 16 knots, cruising at 11 knots with a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Special mention goes to Moran Yacht & Ship on securing the sale and overseeing the construction of the yacht.
