Marina Port Valencia Positions Itself as a New Mediterranean Yachting Base

By Sophia Spanton

Marina Port Valencia is aiming to establish itself as more than just a berth destination, with its wider redevelopment beginning to shape a new yachting hub on Spain’s east coast. As sales and rental options are introduced across the site in phases, the project is increasingly being framed around the kind of services, access and lifestyle that appeal to both yacht owners and the wider industry.

The development centres on three distinct marinas, each with its own purpose within the broader waterfront plan. Marina Norte will occupy the most open and exclusive part of the scheme, directly facing Valencia Bay and offering berths for yachts up to 130 metres. Alongside its marina facilities, the area will bring together offices, dining, co-working, retail and landscaped spaces, creating a waterfront setting that blends yachting with city life.

Marina Sur will serve a more operational role, with capacity for yachts from 6 to 115 metres LOA and a focus on technical support. Planned facilities include refit and repair workshops, office space for yachting businesses and a dedicated zone for maintenance and operations, with a future dry dock expected to expand the site’s capabilities further. The area is also set to support water sports, adding a year-round element to the marina’s wider appeal.

Closer to the city, Marina City will form one of the most exclusive parts of the redevelopment. Designed for yachts from 12 to 130 metres, it will feature the central pontoon, where berths from 15 metres will be available on 10-, 15- or 20-year agreements, alongside dedicated berths for yachts between 24 and 60 metres. As the first area due for delivery, it is expected to be available from the start of the season.

The marina will also offer 24-hour security, fuel supply, parking and environmental management, supported by a wider mix of leisure and yachting services. With its combination of berthing, technical infrastructure and city access, Marina Port Valencia is positioning itself as a practical and attractive base for yachts operating across the Mediterranean.
