Marine Light Corp: Designing Light, Defining Luxury

By Nora Hart

For more than forty years, Marine Light Corp has pioneered innovation in the British lighting industry, specialising in the design, manufacture, and supply of extraordinary light fittings tailored for the luxury marine sector. Established to address the unique challenges of superyacht lighting, the company draws on a rich heritage rooted in the heart of England. From the outset, they have blended traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, delivering concept-to-completion lighting schemes that harness artificial light’s full potential, both inside and out.

Today, their fittings grace many of the world’s most iconic and award-winning superyachts, reflecting a reputation built on precision, reliability and aesthetic brilliance. They have excelled in delivering bespoke solutions, collaborating closely with designers such as H2 Yacht Design, Reymond Langton & Sinot, as well as owners, shipyards, electrical contractors, and fit-out teams. Notable services include comprehensive lighting design and light studies that optimise natural and artificial light to create breathtaking onboard atmospheres. They manage projects end-to-end, liaising with installers, site management, crew, owners, and yards to ensure seamless integration on projects including the 83-metre SAKURA, the 122-metre KISMET, and the 105-metre H3.

A defining strength of Marine Light Corp is their fully integrated, in-house approach. Every fitting, whether standard or bespoke, is meticulously drawn, engineered and handcrafted by their expert team, led by father-and-daughter duo David and Georgia Caddick, at facilities in Berkhamsted and North Watford, England. This single-source model allows them to plan, source, manufacture and supply with exceptional efficiency and control, ensuring superior quality through hands-on oversight at every stage.

Their development efforts focus on advancing marine-grade materials and technologies, such as marine stainless steel and aluminium constructions that withstand harsh oceanic environments while delivering subtle, transformative illumination. Their fittings incorporate advanced LED systems that enhance energy efficiency and longevity, reflecting their ethos of sustainability and innovation. Every fitting’s colour temperature is carefully curated to achieve seamless transitions between interior and exterior spaces. A key focus is their halogen-to-LED refit surveys and programmes, modernising vessels with eco-conscious, recyclable products that reduce energy consumption without compromising luxury. These refits have revitalised yachts like the 82m ROMEA, extending operational life while aligning with global sustainability standards. Post-project support further underscores their commitment to long-term partnerships, with ongoing maintenance and technical guidance ensuring each yacht remains beautifully and reliably lit.

At their core, Marine Light Corp is defined by excellence and customer focus. The team embodies British precision, with skilled artisans and engineers dedicated to design integrity, environmental responsibility and exceptional care. They believe lighting is transformative, turning yachts into elegant sanctuaries at sea. Whether embarking on a new build or refit, Marine Light Corp ensures an experience of lighting done brilliantly.
