MIBS: Ferretti Group Unveils New Pershing GTX Series

By Emily Dawkins

On the second day of the 2022 Miami International Boat Show, Ferretti Group revealed several groundbreaking announcements, including the launch of the new Pershing 35.2m GTX Series, as well as unveiling its big plans for 2022.

Innovation, diversification and safety will drive the Ferretti Group Strategy this year, and it has certainly already proved this with its recent news.

Only two days into the 2022 Miami show, Ferretti Group eagerly unveiled the concept of the first model in its new Pershing 35.2m GTX Series. Joining the X Series, this new GTX Series is set to transform the 20 - 40m yacht market, with expectations of being, ‘ground-breaking from every point of view’. The new Series aims to shake up the sports yacht concept, whilst providing exceptional standards of cruising performance. Sold to an American owner, the first model will be named the Pershing GTX116. Pershing's four fundamental pillars; design, comfort, technology and performance, will remain key to the Series.

Continuing its exciting announcements, Ferretti Group revealed the name of the new Riva flagship yacht: 130’/ 39.6m Bellissima. Currently under construction at the La Spezia shipyard in Italy, the flagship has been sold to an American owner.

Ferretti Group didn’t stop there. Presenting another new arrival for Wally's motor yacht range, wallypower58, as well as revealing the first exclusive images of the fully custom wally101, the first sailing yacht under the ownership of Ferretti Group, the Italian shipyard received an enthusiastic response at its press conference.

Emphasising their 2022 strategy drivers of innovation and safety, Ferretti also proudly announced its agreement with Israeli-based Aqua Marina Tech, a company that develop innovative solutions to save lives at sea using state of the art technology. Ferretti Group will exclusively introduce “Watchit” in partnership with the tech company, to create a genius anti-collision technology that will prevent accidents in the water. This will undoubtedly serve to increase the safety standards of the Ferretti Group fleet, setting standards high for the rest of the superyacht industry.

Choosing to announce its news to its American audience was a strategic move for the Italian shipyard. With the American market accounting for 35% of its total Group sales, it was certainly the optimal place for Ferretti Group to unveil its exciting additions to a loyal audience.

We would like to wish Ferretti Group every success with its latest announcements and we look forward to seeing what the rest of 2022 has to bring for the Group.
