Momentum Builds at Damen Yachting with Launch and Sale of Latest AMELS 60
Another major milestone of 2026 has been reached at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen City shipyard with the successful float-out of the latest AMELS 60. Already sold to her owner, the 60-metre superyacht now moves into the final outfitting and sea trial stage, paving the way for delivery later this year.
Part of the acclaimed Amels Limited Editions series, this yacht continues the long-standing collaboration with Winch Design, who have now contributed to 21 Amels superyachts and four Amels 60 interiors. The interior concept embraces a sense of coastal calm and Pacific Islands inspiration, with sand tones on the swimming platform deck, tranquil blues at sea level, and seasonal reds, greens and golds on the bridge deck, creating the impression of looking down at the trees. Final outfitting allows the owner’s team to incorporate personal touches, in line with the Limited Editions philosophy of combining individualisation with proven naval architecture and dependable delivery schedules.
Espen Øino’s signature exterior design defines the AMELS 60 with clean lines and distinctive trapezoid windows, while the advanced hybrid propulsion system enhances onboard comfort and efficiency, offering extended range and reduced fuel consumption for long-distance cruising. Every detail reflects a careful balance between sustainable technology, refined design, and functionality.
At 60 metres in length with a gross tonnage of 853 GT, the yacht accommodates 12 guests and 13 crew plus captain. Delivery is scheduled for later in 2026. The launch follows the recent arrival of the first AMELS 80 hull of the year in Vlissingen, illustrating the momentum of Damen Yachting’s Limited Editions programme across multiple size ranges. Together, these milestones highlight the brand’s dedication to innovative engineering and timeless, personalised superyacht design.
