Moonen Yachts Reveals 38m YN201 for the First Time

The fourth hull from Dutch shipyard Moonen Yachts’ Moonen Martinique series has been unveiled for the first time. 37.8m YN201 was towed out of the yard’s outfitting shed in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, ahead of her expected delivery in early 2023.

Unveiled for the first time since the joining of her hull and superstructure, 37.8m YN201 is an incredible example of meticulous Moonen craftsmanship. As the fourth hull to be built from the Martinique series, and the first of two sold and currently in-build at the yard, YN201 stands out from her sister vessels as the first Moonen Martinique to showcase a unique anthracite hull.

With an eye-catching hull and fresh white superstructure, the steel aluminium superyacht is also the first Martinique to offer a fully hydraulic swim platform, included as per her owner’s request. Originally designed to be 36m, the owner requested a luxurious, elongated swim platform which added 1.5m to the vessel and therefore required her to be towed out of the outfitting shed to complete this extension.

YN201’s owner commented on their decision to build with Moonen: ‘having looked at multiple shipyards and what they had to offer, the choice to choose Moonen was simple. A beautiful boat with very high build quality, smart design and layout. Add to that a great team and the decision was easy. I can't wait to see the final product.’

YN201 features a contemporary yet classic exterior design by Dutch designer René van der Velden and naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design. Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter will be completing the interiors, with particular attention paid to creating a ‘beautifully balanced and fully customised Scandinavian design’. A2B Marine Projects is leading the owner's team.
