Mulder Design Unveils 60m Apex Concept Built for High-Performance Cruising
Mulder Design has introduced the Apex Concept, a striking 60m motor yacht conceived around a distinctly performance-driven brief. Developed entirely in-house by the Dutch studio, the project seamlessly combines advanced naval architecture with a refined exterior profile, delivering a vessel engineered for both speed and long-range capability within the modern superyacht fleet.
At the core of the concept lies a powerful propulsion package, with engines producing a combined output of 8,600 kW. This configuration enables the yacht to reach a top speed of 28 knots under light load, while maintaining a fast cruising speed of 22 knots. At a reduced cruising speed of 12 knots, the Apex Concept offers an impressive range of 4,500 nautical miles, positioning it firmly within the extended deep-water passage segment and underscoring its versatility across both high-speed and transoceanic operations.
Constructed entirely in aluminium, the yacht features a hull and superstructure optimised for performance and efficiency. With an overall length of 60.00 metres, a beam of 10.70 metres and a draught of 2.60 metres, the design balances sleek proportions with generous onboard volume. The exterior styling reflects Mulder Design’s contemporary approach, characterised by clean lines and a purposeful stance that mirrors the yacht’s performance capabilities.
Accommodation on board is arranged for up to 12 guests, supported by a crew of 14, ensuring a high level of service across extended voyages. While the exterior and naval architecture have been fully realised by Mulder Design, the interior remains open to customisation, allowing owners the flexibility to tailor the living spaces to their individual preferences and lifestyle requirements.
With its combination of speed, range and design pedigree, the Apex Concept represents a considered response to growing demand for performance-oriented superyachts capable of long-distance cruising without compromise.
