Despite being thrown into the storms of a global pandemic, 2020 was still an enormously sucessful year for the company with the launch of Damen Yachting , "Last year Damen Yachting was created. It is made for the future." shares Head of Global Marketing, Thomas Wieringa.
Damen Yachting has recently announced a brand restructure with the establishment of the Damen Yachting group last year, incorporating the Amels Limited Editions, the Yacht Support and the SeaXplorer popular ranges all within the Damen Yachting umbrella. The fourth unit of the Amels 60 was announced as sold during the show this week and the yard also recently announced that it has begun to build a SeaXplorer 60 in spec: "As the market leader in luxury expedition yachts, we really need to push the boundaries again." Thomas Wieringa comments. "With the SeaXplorer 60 we have revamped the interior a little bit and with the 105 there's a clear demand to have larger expeidtion yachts."
Fast delivery proves a key theme for Damen Yachting, Thomas revealed more about the pivotal role of fast delivery to the Damen Yachting brand: "The Limited Editions have been super successful in the 60 to 80 metre segment". He adds, "It is a proven platform, there's no risk you will only have your yacht faster with an opportunity to customise your interior."
What does the future hold for Damen Yachting? With Thomas Wieringa at the helm of Global Marketing, plenty it seems: "For me, I want the team at Damen Yachting to really push the boundaries again with the brands that we have in our portfolio. Make bold statements."
