MYS 2021: The Meaning of Complete Custom with CRN

Despite the challenges of the last year, Stefano remained positive about business at CRN, conceding that with great challenge also came some positives: "It's been challenging at the beginning [...] as a very resilliant company we managed to deal with it and make sure everybody was safe and we went back to work and we have been producing the dreams of our clients like never before". 

As CCO of Ferretti Group and Executive Board Member of CRN, Stefano is well-placed to share exclusive insight into the pure custom philosophy of Ferretti Group's largest superyacht-building brand, "CRN is the only shipyard in Italy that actually specialises in complete custom." he said. In terms of what sets the innovative yard apart, Stefano explained just what this approach means to them: "For us it is the client that comes along with their dream and we then have to put it into a box that works".

For a yard of CRN's stature, sustainability is a necessary part of the manifesto. Fortunately, the builder has plenty to talk about in the field of crafting future-proof superyachts ready for the next generation of yacht owner. As the first Italian shipyard to build to the all-important IMO Tier III regulations, Stefano shared insight of how important it is to lead by example in the field: "We try to make big efforts [...] today we've managed to reduce our energy consuption to produce boats up to 20% in five years which is a huge impact for the industry".

Looking ahead, Stefano concluded with an exciting teaser of what is still to come from CRN. With the highly anticipated M/Y 142 scheduled for delivery next year, Stefano teased a glimpse of what future projects are in the works at CRN: "We have quite a few, but not many that I can talk about [...] I can tell you that we have a 60m yacht which will be low draft for the caribbean".
