MYS 2022: Clients at the Heart of Hill Robinson’s Growth

By George Bains

Paul Cook, COO of Hill Robinson, stopped by the Superyachts.com interview studio at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 for a catch up with Shari Liu. The renowned yachting company has expanded its operation with an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible client service.

In operation for 21 years, the core mission of Hill Robinson has remained constant. Encompassing everything from yacht brokerage and charter to management and crew placement, Hill Robinson has been a staple of the industry.

Since Nick Hill and Niall Robinson opened the first office in Antibes in 2001, Hill Robinson has expanded its global presence across 12 international offices.

“We’ve continued to grow,” explains Paul Cook. "We’re growing as a company and we’ve developed a more corporate structure to the business, not just with superyachts, but aviation and residential as well. We have diversified over the years.”

As the discussion moves to how Hill Robinson ensures high standards throughout the industry, Paul reflects on developments in a significant area of the superyacht experience – crew.

“We love to see our crew developing their careers. We’ve set up the Elite Academy this year, which is a training programme. We always want to make sure we provide for our clients, but also our crew.”

Looking ahead, the future vision is simple for Hill Robinson – to continue to champion a client-centric approach and helping people to make the most of their time on the water.

“The great thing about Hill Robinson is that we have all of these great people and skills. We want to continue to build on that and see the happy smiling faces of our clients.”
