MYS 2022: Gulf Craft Discusses Luxury UAE Builds

By Emily Dawkins

We were delighted to welcome the Chairman of Gulf Craft, Mr. Mohammed AlShaali to the interview studio on the first day of the Monaco Yacht Show. In conversation with the Chairman, we delved into the latest designs and vessels from the yard, and how it works to support the UAE superyacht industry.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, luxury yacht manufacturer Gulf Craft is certainly showcasing its plethora of experience at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.

Delivered in 2021, the brand-new, 37m Majesty 120 is on display, showcasing her sleek white exterior and timeless interior design by renowned designer Cristiano Gatto Design. ‘It's her first time to be shown in Monaco', commented Gulf Craft Chairman, Mr Mohammed AlShaali, ‘in 2019, I announced the building of the 120 and this year she is here.’

Alongside the 120, Mr AlShaali told us what we can expect next from the yard during this year’s yacht show: ‘so this year we are also going to announce a new project which we hope to see in Cannes in two years' time.’

Revealed to the industry at the Dubai International Boat Show was the luxury concept Majesty 111. When asked about her design, the Chairman told us how, ‘Majesty 111 is a step forward from our famous Majesty 100….she is lying between the 100 and 120 so we are trying to close that gap.’

‘Gulf Craft raises the UAE flag all over the world’, added Mr AlShaali, ‘we celebrated our 40th anniversary this year and UAE celebrated its 50th anniversary just two years ago, so we come together; our growth is part of the UAE growth.’

With a strong UAE connection, Gulf Craft continues to represent a significant builder within the industry, and we are looking forward to seeing what will come next from them.
