MYS 2022: Nobiskrug on its Drive for a Strong Future

By Emily Dawkins

On the first day of the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show we welcomed Nobiskrug CEO Philipp Maracke to our interview studio to discuss the latest brand-new projects at the yard, and what the CEO sees for the future of the German yard.

With several new projects on the horizon for the German shipyard, CEO Philipp Maracke, told us how the yard has gone from strength to strength in the past year: ‘it's very interesting what we are doing. The platform that we acquired is a strong brand and we are excited to bring Nobiskrug back where it belongs.’

Unveiled to the industry only three weeks ago, with many of her details remaining under wraps, we discussed 83m Project ORKAN with the CEO: ‘it's a design that I personally love. I saw it the first time and I thought it could be iconic for Nobiskrug: it incorporates a classic style as well as the features needed for today.’ Maracke also makes a nod to the 83m’s sustainable nature: ‘it will have a very good ecological footprint.’

We also discussed another new build that is currently underway with the yard: 80m Project Bullseye. Designed by Winch Design, the CEO told us how her size and design are, ‘exactly the market that we want to head towards.’

Ultimately for Nobiskrug, CEO Philipp Maracke sees a strong future on the cards: ‘the company has a strong brand and outstanding projects. What we will focus on in the future is strong execution to have a solid business not only for the shipyard but also for the clients.’

‘I’m looking for a bright future with Nobiskrug’ and we for one can’t wait to see the yard’s progress.
