MYS 2022: Ocean Alexander Teases New Superyacht Series
Ocean Alexander’s Dan Mundy joined Shari Liu in the Superyachts.com Interview Studio during the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 to talk about the shipyard’s current and upcoming series.
The boutique, semi-custom American yacht builder specialises predominantly in the 27 to 37 metre range, and Dan Mundy walks Shari through their current series – with the successful Legend Series the foundation on which Ocean Alexander was built.
“Our core focus, and our core values are building a luxury brand,” says Dan. “Our owners are looking for a luxury brand that does not fit the stereotype of a high production yacht builder. And that’s where we find our sweet spot.”
Dan then shares a teaser of the soon-to-be-launched P Series, which he says has been fruit of a collaboration with “one of the most prominent and forward-looking designers in the industry right now.”
Ultimately, Dan sees the distinction with Ocean Alexander in the integrity it has developed as a luxury brand over 45 years in operation. The core values of Ocean have remained consistent since its inception, and we look forward to hearing more regarding the new Series later this year.
