MYS 2022: The Antigua Charter Yacht Show on Making a Comeback

By Emily Dawkins

On the final day of the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, Shari Liu was joined in the Superyachts.com interview studio by Kerryann Thomas from the Antigua Charter Yacht Show Accounts and Sherwin Mascall, Dock Master at Nelson’s Dockyard Marina to discuss more about the upcoming Antigua Charter Yacht Show.

Taking place from the 4th to the 9th of December this year, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is making a comeback for its 61st year.

‘Throughout the past years I must say yes it's always been a good show, but this year it's going to be even better’, commented Antigua Charter Yacht Show Accounts’ Kerryann Thomas.

As a B2B show welcoming brokers and captains to promote charter and brokerage vessels, as well as for vendors and exhibitors promoting their services, Kerryann Thomas explained, ‘it's an industry show that caters for everyone.’

With the effects of the pandemic undoubtedly taking its toll on all those in the industry, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show Accounts representative explained how it has been a challenge for the show, with cancellation in 2020 and a minimalised experience in 2021.

Looking forward, Thomas is positive about this year’s show: ‘knowing everything that we’ve been through, we have lots of surprises in store.’  Expected to host an impressive array of new and old superyachts, the duo told us how Royal Huisman’s 81m SEA EAGLE will be one of the many vessels present this year.

‘It's a comeback show this year’ commented Thomas, and we certainly can’t wait to see what the December show will bring to 2022.

"Throughout the past years I must say yes it's always been a good show, but this year, it's going to be even better."
