MYS 2022: The Islands of Antigua & Barbuda Have it All

‘Everything is conveniently located dockside,’ commented Alan Hosam from the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority, when asked about what makes Antigua the perfect superyacht destination, ‘and there's also Barbuda! Which is a hidden gem in the Caribbean.’ 

With hundreds of glorious beaches, one for every day of the year to be exact, incredible, warm weather, and crystal-clear blue waters, Antigua & Barbuda offer sublime cruising grounds for all yachting owners, charters and enthusiasts. 

Shining a light on the smaller island of the two, Hosam shared: ‘Barbuda is one of the most unspoilt countries I think left in the Caribbean. We have some new developments going there too.’ With the likes of Robert De Niro building a hotel on the island, visitors can expect to be wowed by the next wave of advancements taking place in Barbuda.

Currently offering three major superyacht facilities, including the world-famous Nelson’s Dockyard, and the recently expanded Falmouth Harbour Marina which can accommodate some of the largest superyachts in the world and now boasts the largest dock in the Caribbean, Hosam told us how, ‘there's a lot in Antigua to help and service the yachting industry.’

‘We have a packed calendar coming up’, Hosam added, as the esteemed Antigua Charter Yacht Show, alongside several other regattas and shows loom on the horizon.
