MYS 2023: Bernard Gallay on Yachting in Style with Peace of Mind

By Frances Flannagan

Bernard Gallay sat down with Shari Liu at our interview studio to speak about his brokerage company, a business which prides itself on uncomplicating yachting. Gallay reveals exciting new developments and listings, and the future goals of the brokerage.

With an ethos of ‘Yachting in style with peace of mind’, Bernard Gallay’s Partner and Chief Executive described the ways in which the brokerage achieves this. He acknowledges that it is his highly dedicated team that is the driving force behind the company’s success. With this in mind, he still intends on developing and improving the service, an example of the unwavering commitment to clients.

‘We always thought that sailing is a real pleasure, so people must enjoy it without too much complication. So we try to provide a service which gives no problem to the clients.’

A recent development for the brokerage is its new office in Palma de Mallorca, which Gallay described as ‘encouraging and promising.’ Due to lots of sailing boats, crew, Captains and facilities for refit and maintenance, it is a good place to entertain business.

Despite 2023 being a difficult year for the sales and charter markets, Bernard Gallay has exciting plans for the future. As well as continuing to ‘push and keep on developing the Palma office’, the brokerage is looking to develop their charter listings, highlighted by the exciting listing of 108ft SWAN exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show, with the intention to push towards motor yachts.
