MYS 2023: H2 Yacht Design on their Latest and Greatest
Joining our host, Shari Liu, on the first day of the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show in the Superyachts.com studio was H2 Yacht Design's Owner & Design Director, Jonny Horsfield. In addition to the studio's two impressive yachts at the show, both of which were built in Turkey, the Owner & Design Director shared more about two other yachts, REV and VENTO, both created in collaboration with Turquoise Yachts.
LEONA and JEWELS are two of the current H2 Yacht Design vessels at the Monaco Yacht Show this year. Both spectacular vessels were built in Turkey, however, that's where the similarities end, as Owner & Design Director, Jonny Horsfield stated, ‘they are both very different', with LEONA built by Bilgin Yachts and JEWELS by Turquoise Yachts. ‘We were given the challenge to design quite a classic looking interior, which people have forgotten how to do!’ commented Horsfield as he went into depth about the construction of these boats.
VENTO, an impressive 87m in length and the epitome of H2 Yacht Design is one of the largest superyachts to ever be built in Turkey. She entails a range of unique features, one of which being a drive-in dock, and her American owner is patiently awaiting her arrival.
Even more impressive in size is LEONA, Bilgin's 180m motor yacht, which the Owner & Design Director shared more details about. With an interior that's a unique hybrid of minimalist and cruise ship style she is certainly a challenge to build, but is also a demonstration of an exciting way of the H2 studio's designing.
