MYS 2023: New Era for Team Italia and Rolls-Royce

By George Bains

Massimo Minnella, CEO of Team Italia Marine, and Denise Kurtulus, VP Global Marine at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, joined us during the Monaco Yacht Show to shed light on the recent marriage of the two companies.

Earlier this year, Rolls-Royce acquired specialist yacht bridge and marine automation company, Team Italia, as part of its strategy to become an integrated solutions provider for the industry.

“Our marine division which I’ve run for five years has a very clear strategy to go bridge to propeller,” explains Denise Kurtulus. “We are coming from the engine room, and we really want to integrate the entire intelligence onboard and make the life of the owners and crews much easier by having the bridge being the front end consolidating all the data, managing the complexity, safety and comfort onboard.”

With Team Italia already boasting a strong reputation in the industry, Massimo Minnella believes that now being a part of Rolls-Royce will further enhance the company’s global services.

“With Rolls-Royce, we are sure that our service around the world will be done by skilled people oriented to the customer to support the customer for their peace of mind,” shares Massimo Minnella.

The future for Team Italia Marine has certainly been bolstered with the formidable power of Rolls-Royce, and we look forward to following developments at the company.
