MYS 2023: SuperyachtsMonaco on Fleet Additions & Organic Growth

By George Bains

Managing Director of SuperyachtsMonaco, Jim Evans, joined us in the Superyachts.com Interview Studio during the Monaco Yacht Show 2023. A familiar face in the Studio, Jim updates Shari Liu on new additions to the brokerage’s fleet as well as their renewed emphasis on organic growth.

Reflecting on this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, Jim had a positive report of the event with quality over quantity being the key in terms of visitation. During a busy week, SuperyachtsMonaco had Lady Nora, a 45-metre Broward yacht at anchor, as well as 33m Custom Line Centurion on display.

One of the biggest additions to SuperyachtsMonaco’s sales fleet this year has been 72.8-metre Feadship superyacht, Predator. “Predator is a very high-performance, high-powered and high-speed large yacht,” shares Jim Evans. “She is one of the major additions to the fleet and we’re very proud to represent that boat.”

Jim and Shari also discuss SuperyachtsMonaco’s new partnership with Cryptocurrency firm, Bitcashier, exploring how this is helping to manage the brokerage’s transactions in response to an increased demand for Crypto payment options.

Looking ahead, the same shrewd approach to organic growth is the key to maintaining SuperyachtsMonaco’s success. “We have to follow market trends, but every year in our interviews I use the term ‘organic growth’,”explains Jim. “We protect our company DNA very carefully, and we add high quality people from time to time, and we will carry on in that direction.”
