MYS 2023: TWW on 7 Launches in 12 Months

By George Bains

With the Monaco Yacht Show in full flow, we were joined by James Hall of TWW to catch up on a busy year of projects for the esteemed brokerage, celebrating seven launches in 12 months.

Joining Shari Liu in the Superyachts.com Interview Studio, James Hall had plenty to discuss with TWW enjoying a fruitful year on both the newbuild and rebuild front – a number of which were proudly on display during the show.

“It’s been hectic if I’m honest,” explains James Hall, Sales Consultant at TWW. “The whole team has been busy, we’ve had a number of new build been launched and one refit which was really a rebuild.”

Visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show were given the opportunity to see some of these projects up close, with GREY (Tankoa 49.8m, 2023), POLAR STAR (Lurssen 65.17m, 2005), and DRIZZLE (Feadship 68.77m, 2012) among the headlines of a star-studded TWW fleet.

One significant project completed this year was the rebuild of 50m Feadship superyacht, LEGACY V, relaunched as EMERALD.

As James explains, there was a 16-18 month rebuild process before her relaunch earlier this year, after which she was soon shown off at the MYBA Charter Show.

On the future, James outlines that any growth plan mustn’t detract from the personalised client approach that TWW are known for. “We are very focused on maintaining our relationships with our existing customers, which is first and foremost… we want to stay small enough that we can keep it very personal but big enough that we can do everything a client.”
