In our studio today, it became apparent that Antigua & Barbuda are not only anticipating growth, but are also committed to providing visitors with the finest experiences these stunning islands have to offer. Hon. In terms of recent developments, Antigua & Barbuda has a number of projects underway that will add to the country's charm. These include the expansion of the cruise port, as well as the development of several hotel properties such as a Nobu hotel and Nikki Beach. Fernandez commented that, 'there are a number of things going on, and we are looking forward to bigger and better things as a result of that.' Most importantly, Fernandez announced that the new international airport in Barbuda will be open next week.
The ‘Be Here’ campaign has also been ongoing, ‘Be Here' is something that we decided that we needed to not just market Antigua & Barbuda as one but also spend some time in terms of marketing Barbuda.
When Shari Liu asked what are some key features or events that take place in Antigua & Barbuda Tourism, that make the Islands desirable to tourists, Fernandez proudly replied ‘well, apart from our cuisine, apart from our culture, apart from the historical aspects…’ before listing off an array of offerings in Antigua & Barbuda.
'Antigua is considered the safest destination in the region for superyacht travelers,' Fernandez explains. Efforts are underway to further enhance safety and maintain the island's top-tier status. Additionally, the yacht show attendees have a designated entry and exit, allowing them to move in and out of Antigua smoothly, thus improving the safety and convenience of the island.
As Fernandez noted, with these initiatives and enhancements, Antigua & Barbuda are is just looking forward to growth but are iso dedicated to ensuring that visitors experience the best of what these beautiful islands have to offer.
"Antigua is the safest destination in the region."
