MYS 2024: Damen Yachting On Showcasing Full Line-Up For the Very First Time
On day one of the Monaco Yacht Show, Shari Liu sat down with Sarah Flavell, Marketing Director of Damen Yachting, to discuss all-things-Damen. With its iconic yacht PINK SHADOW on display here in Monaco, the diversity of the Dutch yard’s fleet is placed in the spotlight, as Sarah reveals Damen’s impressive capacity to cater to all yachting needs and preferences.
Over the past year, Damen Yachting has seen an extraordinary amount of success, of which Sarah Flavell shared with Shari Liu in the Superyachts.com interview studio on the first day of the show. The shipyard’s latest Amels 60 is set to be delivered in just a couple of weeks: a beautiful example of the Amels Limited Editions design and the ways in which clients can implement their personalities into the designs. Her exteriors are an eye-catching blue, whilst she features the iconic Espen Oeino windows that characterise the design.
‘The Amels Limited Editions in general are fundamental to the entire Damen Yachting portfolio. We have tried to have a really diverse range of brands and products to meet every type of yachting need,’ commented Sarah Flavell, Marketing Director of Damen Yachting.
The 33nd edition of the MYS is the first time in which Damen Yachting is showcasing its full line-up, with Amex Xplorer and Yacht Support. FIVE OCEANS, a Support 53, is being displayed at the show, coming straight from the shipyard in Antalya to the show. Not only is this her global debut, it is also the first time a Yacht Support 53 has been on display.
Capturing the attention of the Monaco Yacht Show is PINK SHADOW: a stunning vessel that boasts a military green exterior and an Amazon-rainforest-inspired interior. This iconic superyacht represents the extent to which Damen Yachting can cater to all desires and preferences. ‘It’s got an interior like you’ve probably never seen before. I don’t think anybody will forget it once they’ve seen it.’
Sarah revealed that next year, the very first Amels 80 will be launched and delivered, something which the industry is highly anticipating. Alongside a few Xplorer vessels and Yacht Supports in build, and an exceptional refit that will emerge from the shipyard: ‘a complete transformation of a very beautiful yacht.’
