By Frances Flannagan

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Emmanolia Kolias sat down with Shari Liu to share insights into Mintra: a leading provider of digital learning and human capital management systems worldwide. Continuously elevating its presence in the superyacht industry, Kolias discussed the significance that Mintra places on women in yachting, as well as highlighting exciting future plans.

Attending the MYS this year as a Co-Exhibitor at the Superyachts.com stand, Emmanolia Kolias, Channel Director at Mintra, provided a comprehensive overview of Mintra’s services, its role in the superyacht industry and the company’s future goals.

Offering a range of specialist services, from crewing software to learning management systems, Kolias highlighted the significant place that Mintra holds within the maritime world.

Reflecting on the superyacht industry in particular, Kolias commented: ‘In the past few years… companies are looking more into competencies, because of the fact they need to make sure… their crew is qualified.’

Mintra places a strong emphasis on supporting women in the yachting industry, Kolias herself being a board member of The Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).

‘Because women are underrepresented in the maritime industry, we ensure that we offer mentorships and career pathways for females to come into the industry and have a truly inclusive career.’

With a plethora of exciting plans on the horizon, including the development of new technologies and cultivating new partnerships with academies, the future is bright for Mintra, who has proudly fulfilled its industry promise of ensuring ‘your guests have quality crew to be welcoming them.’
