MYS 2024: Winch Design Unveils Innovative Concepts and Milestones

By Sophia Spanton

With the Monaco Yacht Show finally unfolding this 2024, Shari Liu was joined by Winch Design in our interview studio. Aino Grapin, Winch Design’s CEO provided an insightful review of the company's recent developments and latest concepts.

Winch Design has had a notably active year since the last Monaco Yacht Show, with several exciting updates that reflect their innovation and commitment to excellent design. The team has been busy with 33 projects in build, 15 of them being yachts. Winch has unveiled 3 deliveries this year, all from Amels.

The move to their new office marks a significant milestone for Winch Design, creating an enhanced space and top of the range resources that will foster creativity and collaboration. This process is expected to elevate the company's design processes and output, allowing for more ambitious projects, as Grapin puts it, ‘in putting everyone in one big space we have really recreated that magic of people being inspired by their colleagues’.

Winch Design unveiled two remarkable concepts this year, both with an eco-conscious and well-being focus: Fusion, 88m is a collaboration with Feadship where the design was fostered through the focus of Feadship’s DNA, and Reverie, an Oceanco Simply Custom Design, which is ‘an 80m platform for a dynamic owner with a fast-paced lifestyle, who occasionally needs to stop and enjoy life’ explains Grapin. These concepts showcase Winch's innovative approach to yacht design, blending luxury with functionality while pushing the boundaries of traditional aesthetics.

Winch Design continues to solidify its position as a frontrunner in yacht and luxury aviation design through innovative concepts, creative partnerships, and an expanded creative workspace. As they prepare for upcoming announcements at the Monaco Yacht Show, Winch's commitment to excellence and creativity remains evident, promising an exciting future in both the yachting and aviation industries.
