MYS 2025: Ankor Software on Growing the Industry Through Connection

By Grace Elmes

During the Monaco Yacht Show, Superyachts.com sat down with Mike Sager, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Ankor Software, for an inside look at how the company is reshaping the future of superyacht technology. In the interview, Sager shared the story of Ankor Software’s beginnings, the team driving its growth, and the innovative solutions they are launching to make the yachting industry more connected and efficient.

Sager’s connection to yachting began early, his father was a captain, and much of his childhood was spent ‘in the bottom of ships and running around the docks.’ Later, he pursued a career in technology with a multinational in Asia-Pacific, before teaming up with Co-Founder Elliot to create Ankor Software. Their goal: blend tech expertise with maritime roots to build smarter, more connected solutions for the industry.

Today, Ankor Software operates through several specialised divisions with a global team, giving it both agility and depth. Its mission is clear: ‘Let’s grow the entire industry by connecting them all together.’ By addressing fragmentation across the yachting ecosystem, Ankor Software enables stakeholders to collaborate, share data, and streamline operations.

At this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the company launched a new AI-powered platform that adapts to the needs of yacht professionals, an ‘assistant that never sleeps.’ Unlike existing solutions, it’s designed for seamless integration across multiple touchpoints, making yacht operations more intuitive and efficient.

Despite the focus on advanced technology, the interview had lighter moments, with Sager laughing about the quirks of innovating in such a unique industry. It reflected Ankor Software’s philosophy: behind every smart tool, the ultimate aim is to support the people who make yachting possible.
