MYS 2025: CMC Marine LTD Powers the Future of Advanced Systems and Electrification

By Grace Elmes

At the Superyachts.com Interview Studio, Sam Crockford, Managing Director of CMC Marine LTD, reflected on an exciting and transformative year for the company, highlighting key innovations and expanding its footprint in the global superyacht market.

Crockford discussed the launch of the Energy Recovery System, inspired by Formula 1 technology, which enhances efficiency and performance while offering tangible benefits to both yacht owners and shipyards.

Crockford also spoke about the introduction of the DC Hi Voltage configuration, a major step toward electrification that supports hybrid and electric propulsion trends as ‘there is a lot of demand and stress on electrical systems.’ This is largely attributed to the ability of these systems to drive the superyacht sector’s shift toward more sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.

Partnerships with Dometic and Raymarine are central to CMC Marine’s strategy, enabling integrated onboard networks that drive the next generation of stabilisation and control systems. Crockford emphasised that collaboration is key to advancing technological innovation ‘as it does effectively save fuel for the operator’ in a complex and high-value sector.

Sustainability remains a priority, with CMC Marine LTD actively responding to industry-wide shifts toward eco-friendly solutions. Looking ahead to 2026, Sam Crockford teased ongoing developments and projects that promise to continue pushing the boundaries of marine technology.
