MYS 2025: Echo Yachts on Landmark Sailing Catamaran and Refit Growth

By Nora Hart

Chris Blackwell, Sales & Marketing Manager at Echo Yachts, joined us at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show to share the latest from Australia’s premier full-custom superyacht builder. Among the highlights was the unveiling of the ASC58, a 58-metre sailing catamaran featuring a twin-mast Dynarig and true zero-emissions capability when under sail. Now in build and set to launch in 2027, the ASC58 is on track to become the largest sailing catamaran in the world.

Also touched on was Echo’s growing portfolio of multihull explorer yachts, including lessons learned from the landmark WHITE RABBIT. These fully custom builds have helped shape Echo’s distinctive approach to catamaran design and performance, with results that continue to impress.

On the refit side, Blackwell celebrated Echo’s recent win at the Australian Marine Industry Awards, recognising their nine-month transformation of the classic Amels yacht JUST B. The project reflected the yard’s increasing focus on major refits between 45 and 100 metres in length, and their expanding capabilities in this sector, with Blackwell noting that ‘refits are a growth industry.’

With a growing order book, increasing demand for large-scale refits, and a one-of-a-kind multihull under construction, Echo Yachts continues to cement their place at the forefront of Australia’s superyacht industry.
