MYS 2025: Marina Casa de Campo Embarks on a New Chapter of Luxury and Yachting Excellence
Seated in the Superyachts.com Interview Studio, José Gonzalvo, the driving force behind Marina Casa de Campo, spoke about an exciting chapter for the Dominican Republic’s premier yachting destination. Reflecting on the past year, he highlighted a period of strong development at the marina, where investments in infrastructure and guest services have enhanced its reputation as one of the Caribbean’s leading ports of call.
Gonzalvo also underlined the marina’s ability to welcome larger vessels, noting: ‘We have space for yachts of up to 250ft as the draft is 16ft, so there is no problem with berthing these bigger yachts.’ This capacity further strengthens Casa de Campo’s position as a destination of choice for the superyacht community.
Looking ahead, Gonzalvo explained the inspiration behind Marina Casa de Campo’s new logo and rebranding. Timed with the marina’s upcoming 25th anniversary next year, the refreshed identity symbolises both renewal and continuity, capturing the essence of a world-class destination that continues to evolve while remaining true to its legacy.
Beyond the marina itself, Casa de Campo’s expansive offerings play a vital role in its appeal. The marina is situated ‘in a 7,000-acre resort which has everything,’ from championship golf courses and fine dining to wellness retreats and cultural events. Gonzalvo emphasised how these experiences strengthen the resort’s connection with both yacht owners and visiting guests. He noted that superyacht visitors often extend their stays to enjoy the full resort lifestyle, underlining Casa de Campo’s unique position as more than just a berthing destination.
As the Caribbean grows in popularity for winter yachting, Marina Casa de Campo is responding with forward-looking strategies. Investments in sustainability, service excellence, and new infrastructure ensure the marina is well-prepared to meet rising demand while maintaining its commitment to the environment and community. Gonzalvo also noted the allure of nearby “tremendous” natural treasures, such as Saona Island, Catalina, and Palmilla, which continue to enrich the guest experience.
With its rebrand, ongoing investment, and resort-wide offerings, Casa de Campo is poised to begin its next 25 years with a clear vision: to remain a premier yachting hub and a vibrant destination that celebrates both luxury and the beauty of the Dominican Republic.
"We are the most complete marina in the Caribbean, no question about it."
