MYS 2025: Monaco Yacht Show Reflects on a Pivotal Year for Progress and Sustainability
Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Show, joined us at Superyachts.com during the 34th edition of the show to reflect on a pivotal year for the industry and the event itself. With nearly two decades at the helm, Tallarida shared how 2025 has marked a turning point for Monaco’s role in shaping the future of superyachting.
A major highlight of this year’s show was the launch of the Blue Wake programme and the inaugural Blue Wake Awards, initiatives designed to spotlight the people and technologies leading the charge towards a more sustainable industry. ‘The role of the show is to put the light on what the industry is doing,’ she said.
Tallarida also discussed how Monaco continues to modernise the show experience through digital integration. From the Innovation Deck to immersive 3D virtual environments, she noted that these elements allow builders, designers, and tech leaders to present the future in new, engaging ways.
This year’s fleet, nearly half of which were world debuts, reflected the ongoing evolution of client expectations and ownership profiles. With an average length of 47 metres and a noticeable shift in buyer demographics, the show has become a powerful lens through which broader trends in the industry are revealed.
Looking ahead, Tallarida reaffirmed Monaco’s commitment to driving forward both sustainability and digital transformation. As artificial intelligence and clean technologies continue to advance, Monaco Yacht Show remains the main stage for what comes next.
