MYS 2025: STI Milano on the Art of Timeless Comfort

By Nora Hart

Francesco Stucchi and Darren Brown, CEO and Partner of STI Milano, joined us at the Superyachts.com Interview Studio during the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show to share the story of a family-run company that has been shaping luxury interiors since 1962. Founded by Stucchi’s grandfather as a marine furniture atelier, STI Milano has since evolved into a leading name in high-end interior design, seamlessly combining elegance, functionality, and expert craftsmanship across land and sea.

Speaking to host Shari Liu, the duo reflected on how STI Milano’s deep-rooted experience in the hospitality and residential sectors informs their approach to bespoke yacht interiors, where space is limited, but design possibilities are boundless. ‘People are creatures of comfort,’ noted Brown. ‘They like to walk into their spaces and know exactly what they’re walking into.’ That philosophy of consistency across properties, from villas to superyachts, sits at the heart of STI Milano’s work: translating a client’s personality into timeless, tactile spaces.

On the subject of sustainability, both leaders spoke candidly about the responsibility to act ethically without compromising on quality. Plus, personalisation and adaptability remain central to STI Milano’s success. Whether reimagining a penthouse, hotel suite or private yacht saloon, the company prioritises listening and flexibility to create spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle. ‘It's our job to make clients feel confident and comfortable, wherever they are,’ Stucchi added.

As they deepen their footprint in yachting, STI Milano sees the Monaco Yacht Show as a vital space for dialogue, discovery and connection. With recent success on a custom yacht project and more on the horizon, STI Milano is charting a steady course in the world of luxury yachting.
