MYS 2026: Bering Yachts Enters a New Scale
Bering Yachts brings the B145 Heeus to Monaco this year, but it's the B130 and B165 — presented as the flagship concepts of the brand's new Superyacht Division — that mark the real shift in ambition. Together, the three models signal a builder long associated with rugged, mid-size explorers now stepping deliberately into larger territory. The move isn't speculative. The B165 has already secured two contracts in 2026, an early sign that the concept has found genuine traction with owners rather than simply generating interest on paper.
It's been a busy year for Bering.
"We started on the construction of three superyachts and a few smaller boats, so for us it was a very good year."
Two of those projects — both B165s — could hardly be more different from one another. "We have two boats which are very, very different... the layout, the deck, everything is different."
Range remains central to the pitch. With more than 5,000 nautical miles on offer, the B165 is built to go further than most yachts its size — but distance alone isn't the sell. Translating that explorer capability into a yacht that still meets modern lifestyle expectations onboard is where the real design challenge sits, and where Bering's Superyacht Division appears to be putting most of its effort.
The B130, meanwhile, is built around adaptability — a word that covers everything from layout flexibility to how the yacht is actually used across different ownership styles. That adaptability, alongside the aesthetic language shaped by Bering's ongoing collaboration with Valentin Design, gives the Superyacht Division a consistent identity even as the platforms scale up in size.
Bering's broader range still spans buyers with very different priorities, from those drawn to the brand's more compact, expedition-ready models to owners now considering the B130 and B165 as genuine superyacht propositions. As that division develops, the challenge — and the opportunity — will be keeping both ends of that spectrum coherent under one brand.
"We are travelling, we are filming, we are coming to the destination which is not on the beaten path."
