MYS 2026: How TJB Superyachts Is Taking a Boutique Brokerage Global

By Keelin Brook

At this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, Superyachts.com sits down with TJB Superyachts founder and CEO Tim Johnson and Georgie Damianakis to discuss the brokerage’s rapid international expansion and what it means to take a business built around personal relationships into new markets.

Following TJB’s growing presence in the US, the opening of its first Australian office marks another significant step for the boutique brokerage. In the conversation, Johnson and Damianakis discuss why Australia was the right next move for the business, and what it means for TJB to now have a presence across Europe, the US and Australia.

For a brokerage that has always placed personal relationships at the centre of its approach, international growth brings an interesting challenge. As teams become larger and offices become more geographically spread, maintaining the sense of continuity and familiarity that clients associate with a boutique business becomes increasingly important. The conversation explores how TJB is approaching that balance as its footprint expands.

Australia also provides an opportunity to consider whether the expectations of UHNW clients are becoming increasingly universal. While each market has its own characteristics, the conversation looks at whether clients are ultimately seeking the same level of personal service, expertise and long-term relationships wherever they are based, or whether TJB has had to adapt its approach for different regions.
