MYS Launches Yacht Design & Innovation Hub

By Jenna Mehdi

The organisers of the Monaco Yacht Show have teased exciting new details over the past few months, hinting at a revamped and re-invigorated 2021 event. With the launch of the brand new Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, yachting enthusiasts can expect a show with more emphasis on innovation than ever before.

In September of last year, the Monaco Yacht Show announced an ‘even more appealing’ 2021 event, with greater emphasis paid to addressing the most pressing threats to the superyacht industry. Now, a brand new exhibition area has been announced, dedicated entirely to proposing design and innovative solutions in yachting.

The new hub will be located on virage Louis Chiron in Port Hercule, in the show’s Dockside area. It will complement the show’s historical Designer Gallery  on Quai des Etats-Unis, where visitors are able to meet face-to-face with the most prominent designers and naval architects in the industry.

The MYS organisers have promised a ‘tailor-made experience’ for the next generation of superyacht owners and charterers. In line with this, the hub will aim to engage the new generation of customers with the challenges and strengths of the superyacht experience, as they plan to build their future yacht.

Visitors will be able to discuss their yacht project with the designers, as well as current and future trends in yacht design and naval architecture. The Yacht Design & Innovation Hub aims to offer an immersive experience, and better shape the yacht of owners’ dreams.

Throughout the four days of the show, designers will hold 15-minute talks about their discipline, experience and projects.
