New Models, Partnerships & Investments: A Busy Summer for Cantieri di Pisa
This summer has proven to be a pivotal period for Cantieri di Pisa, with the shipyard unveiling two new yacht models, announcing an exciting new partnership, and making a significant investment in its production facilities. These moves highlight the Italian yard’s continued growth and commitment to pushing the boundaries of luxury yacht design and innovation.
Cantieri di Pisa’s first major reveal came with the unveiling of the Saturno 56: the debut model in a new range of five yachts that will range from 38 to 90 metres. This new line reinterprets the Italian yard’s iconic stylistic hallmarks through a contemporary design lens, crafted to meet the demands of the current luxury yacht market.
The Saturno 56 has an LOA of an impressive 57 metres and boasts a range of standout features, including a beach club that is connected to both the main and upper decks via a transverse staircase. Furthering the yacht’s luxurious appeal are her swimming pool and a well-equipped gym, offering the ultimate in comfort and leisure whilst at sea.
At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, Cantieri di Pisa introduced not only another exciting yacht range, but also announced major investments to enhance its services and production capabilities. The shipyard revealed that it has invested €6 million to expand production facilities: a move that reflects the shipyard’s growing success and future potential. These upgrades coincide with an impressive order book worth almost €30 million, showcasing the strong demand for Cantieri di Pisa’s luxurious products.
Another key highlight at Cannes was the introduction of the new Akhir line, designed by Antonio Luxardo. The first model from this range, the Akhir 44, will soon be launched to the market, representing a fresh evolution of the Akhir line whilst staying true to its signature design elements. This new series seeks to bridge the gap between the brand’s rich heritage and its exciting future, creating a seamless bond between classic style and modern innovation.
In addition to these impressive yacht reveals, Cantieri di Pisa also announced a strategic partnership with T. Mariotti: a prominent member of the Genova Industrie Navali Group and a key player in Mediterranean shipbuilding. This collaboration will see the two Italian powerhouses combine their expertise to create innovative, sustainable yachts built to the highest standards of safety and technology, with lengths reaching up to a staggering 180 metres.
Cantieri di Pisa commented on the collaboration: ‘The agreement establishes a partnership between two important Italian luxury shipbuilding companies and will pave the way for new large yacht projects that will be innovative, sustainable, and built according to the highest standards in safety and technology.’
With these exciting new developments, Cantieri di Pisa is reinforcing its place as a leader in the superyacht industry, combining Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge design and a commitment to sustainable innovation. The future is bright for the shipyard, as it continues to push boundaries and set new standards in luxury yachting, whilst retaining its iconic and powerful heritage.
