Nobiskrug Triple Seven to Undergo Refit at Amels

By Jenna Mehdi

Off the back of what has already been a particularly busy winter season for the team at Damen Yachting, 68m Triple Seven has been confirmed to undergo a six month refit at the Amels yard in Vlissingen. The works will include a full respray and the yacht’s 15-year survey, alongside a number of technical and interior upgrades.

Delivered by German shipyard Nobiskrug in 2006, Triple Seven was brought under the management of Moran Yacht & Ship in summer of last year. Vladimir Tupikov of Moran was closely involved in the refit planning. He comments in a statement, “We are very grateful to the team at Damen Yachting led by Michel Coens for their impactful involvement and cooperation, helping to manage and overcome all challenges. The Owner and Moran Yacht & Ship are happy to proceed with the refit programme and expect to have an excellent outcome in the end.”

Having already arrived at the Damen Yachting facilities some weeks ago, preparations for Triple Seven’s refit are well underway. Alongside the necessary 15-year survey, the yacht will benefit from a full respray and some major modifications to the stabilisers, shaft lines, chiller plant and galley.

Damen Yachting’s Refit Sales Manager Michel Coens worked closely with the owner’s representative during the contract negotiation. “We are honoured to be trusted with the refit of Triple Seven and are delighted to be able to welcome her into the Amels family. We look forward to working together with the team at Moran Yacht & Ship throughout this Amels Refit and giving Triple Seven a new lease of life.”

Triple Seven’s imminent works are just one of a few ongoing projects at Damen Yachting’s esteemed facilities, both yachts of the brand’s own portfolio and those delivered by other builders.
