Numarine Launches New 40MXP Flagship Explorer Superyacht

By Nora Hart

Numarine has officially launched the 40MXP, their brand-new 40-metre flagship and the latest addition to the yard’s acclaimed XP Series. As an evolution of the popular 37XP, the 40MXP introduces enhanced exterior living and a Mediterranean-inspired design while staying true to the brand’s long-range explorer ethos.

Described as a ‘Mediterranean Explorer’, the 40MXP blends beach-club style with ocean-crossing performance. The extended aft deck is the centrepiece of the new design, featuring a large pool with a glass transom, surrounded by an alfresco lounge, bar, and dining area. A full-beam hydraulic swim platform further connects guests to the water, reinforcing the emphasis on outdoor living.

Despite the added leisure features, the 40MXP retains the same high-volume hull and ocean-going credentials that define the XP line. With a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots, the yacht is built for serious exploration. Propulsion is provided by twin MAN 800hp engines, with an optional upgrade to Tier III-compliant MAN 900hp units.

Inside, the 40MXP offers spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests across six suites, including a full-beam master on the main deck. The yacht’s interior and exterior design is once again handled by long-time collaborator Can Yalman, delivering Numarine’s signature blend of style, comfort, and functionality.

The first 40MXP has already been delivered, with two more currently in build for 2025. With its striking presence, global cruising capability, and lifestyle-driven design, the 40MXP marks a bold new chapter for Numarine's explorer yacht fleet.
