Ocean Alliance Sells 37m Superyacht Masteka 2

By George Bains

Leading Australian brokerage Ocean Alliance has announced the sale of 37m Monte Fino Superyacht Masteka 2. One of the most sought-after charter yachts in Australia, Masteka 2 was listed for sale by Joachim Howard at Ocean Alliance with the buyer introduced by Ryan Leigh-Smith of Leigh Smith Yachts.

Delivered in 2009, Masteka 2 features a sleek exterior profile penned by British designer Ed Dubois, with opulent interiors styled by Rhoades Young. An elegant superyacht with expedition capabilities, Masteka 2 has been based in Australia and the South Pacific since 2011, where she has become a favourite for charters ranging from Sydney to Fiji.

A strong stature in the charter market makes her a shrewd investment by her new Owner, with the superyacht capable of comfortably accommodating 12 guests in a 5-cabin layout. Masteka 2’s expansive exterior deck space is complete with a ten-person jacuzzi and observation deck, while two onboard tenders and an arsenal of water toys offer action on the water. A recent multi-million-dollar refit has ensured that the superyacht continues to deliver the highest standards of luxury and performance.

Ocean Alliance will continue in its role as MYBA Central Agent for Charter and Management following the change in ownership of Masteka 2. She has already confirmed her attendance for the 36th America’s Cup in New Zealand in March 2021.

Earlier this year, Joachim Howard sat down with Superyachts.com to discuss Australia’s strength as a charter destination, highlighting the appeal of the country’s diverse landscape and unique experiences. Read more from Joachim here.
