Oceanco Launches 109m Y720

By Emily Dawkins

Leading shipyard Oceanco has announced that its 109m/357ft project Y720 has been launched in the Netherlands.

Featuring a timeless and sleek exterior design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, Oceanco’s Y720 has been launched; a milestone moment for the Dutch shipyard, as she becomes its fifth-largest yacht to date.

Sneak-preview images captured the 109m Y720 leaving her shed for the first time, showcasing her pale grey hull and polished exterior lines. Her incredible classic profile presents a significant use of glass, with her main, bridge and upper decks, all completely surrounded by stretching glass windows.

Playing a key role throughout her design process, Y720's owner ensured her final profile remained completely unique, with exceptional finishes and features. Her spacious layout onboard will no doubt be flooded with bounds of natural light, complimented by custom Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design interiors.

The final phase of Y720’s construction was completed in Oceanco’s eco-conscious Alblasserdam shipyard, which has been designed with sustainable facilities that have minimal impact on the environment.

Alongside her sustainable build, Y720 herself boasts technologically advanced environmental systems, that have been engineered specifically and as a result, now exceed the current regulations. Y720 has a beam of 16m and a maximum speed of 20 knots, with her naval architecture completed by Lateral Naval Architects.

With little officially revealed by Oceanco about her launch, we can't wait to see Y720 in all her glory at her delivery later this year.

"We are in an ideal position to build bigger, but it comes back to finding the right project, finding the match for the client and building that perfect yacht."
