Oceanco’s 59m HELIOS Sold by Edmiston
Edmiston has announced the in-house sale of the iconic 59m Oceanco yacht HELIOS. Delivered in 2001 by the esteemed Dutch yard, HELIOS underwent a major 18-month refit in 2021, with her most recent works completed earlier this year, leaving her more than ready to welcome a new owner onboard. Edmiston’s Robert Shepherd represented the seller.
Recently exhibited at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show as part of Edmiston’s fleet, HELIOS certainly caught the attention of interested buyers.
Featuring exterior design by The A Group and naval architecture by Oceanco, HELIOS is an incredible example of the meticulous Dutch craftsmanship of the world-renowned yard, stylised exceptionally by the Monaco-based design studio.
At the time of her delivery in 2001, Marc Michaels crafted the interiors of HELIOS, opting for cool colours and materials trendy at the time. Since her delivery, the interiors of HELIOS have been restyled by Richard Hallberg Interior Design. Designed in a warm neutral colour palette with tasteful gold accents, the 59m vessel offers the ultimate air of sophistication yet unparalleled comfort onboard.
In May 2021, HELIOS emerged from a significant 18-month refit at La Ciotat. Undergoing a complete exterior renovation, which included replacing and restoring her teak decking and new exterior paint from hull to superstructure to revitalise the 59m’s eye-catching white and blue hull, HELIOS’ exterior profile became an incredible showcase and offered only a glimpse of what was lying inside.
Her ‘reimagined’ Hallberg interior with luxurious new soft furnishings, upholstery and carpets adorn a logical, mostly open-plan layout to present a contemporary retreat for her new owner. HELIOS’ lighting and A/V equipment were also updated, with her stone floors and surfaces professionally cleaned and polished.
Alongside a new interior and exterior profile, extensive mechanical and technical updates were also carried out. Notably, her expansive 30.48m sundeck was remodelled to fit a Jacuzzi, bar and numerous sunpads.
Earlier this year, HELIOS also underwent further maintenance and refit works at STP Palma in Palma de Mallorca, highlighting her excellent and immaculate condition at the time of her sale.
HELIOS spans three spacious decks with a gross tonnage of 969. This Oceanco superyacht can accommodate up to 14 guests onboard across seven staterooms, with four king suites, one master and two twins, as well as a crew of 14.
HELIOS was listed for sale for €37,000,000 at the time of her sale. Her final sale price has not been confirmed.
We would like to congratulate Edmiston and all those involved in the sale of HELIOS and are looking forward to seeing HELIOS traversing the world with her new owner.
