ORCA 58: RMK Yachts Redefines Volume and Vision

By Nora Hart

RMK Yachts has unveiled the ORCA 58, a 58-metre steel superyacht that blends the shipyard’s engineering heritage with a fresh design language by Lagaria Yacht Design & Architecture. Reinterpreting an existing RMK hull, the project reflects a considered approach to innovation, building on proven foundations rather than starting anew.

With a 12-metre beam and an approximate volume of 1,000 GT, ORCA 58 ranks among the most spacious yachts in her class, around 30 per cent larger than other vessels of similar length. Her sculpted profile, defined by clean lines and broad expanses of glass, is the epitome of elegance.

A sequence of cascading aft terraces defines her exterior, leading down to a flush six-by-three-metre pool and beach-club area. The wide decks and fold-down bulwarks create fluid connections between interior and sea, while generous overhangs ensure comfort in all conditions. Inside, the yacht’s substantial volume allows for a variety of layouts, accommodating 12 guests in six staterooms and 13 crew. Large windows draw natural light into the interior, reinforcing the sense of connection with the sea.

Constructed in steel, ORCA 58 offers a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots and a top speed of 15 knots. Her proportions, engineering, and finish underline RMK’s emphasis on longevity and subtlety rather than excess.

Equally suited to summer cruising or long-range exploration, ORCA 58 signals a mature, thoughtful evolution in superyacht design, where forward-thinking design and heritage coexist in balance.
