Palma International Boat Show 2026 Opens Mediterranean Yachting Season in Mallorca

By Sophia Spanton

The Palma International Boat Show returns from 29 April to 2 May 2026 at Moll Vell in Palma de Mallorca, marking the traditional opening of the Mediterranean yachting season and one of the most important brokerage-focused events in the European calendar.

With over 30,000 visitors last year, surpassing the year before, the show marked an exciting step forward in both industry impact and international recognition, the industry has been left with expectations for further even growth in attendance and engagement for the 2026 edition.

Set against the backdrop of Palma’s historic waterfront, the show brings together a strong concentration of superyachts, brokerage activity and marine industry exhibitors. Its positioning at the start of the season makes it a key meeting point for brokers, captains, shipyards and owners preparing for summer cruising and refit activity across the Mediterranean.

The 2026 edition is expected to continue its emphasis on larger yachts and commercial activity, with superyachts displayed along the main marina quays alongside a wide selection of brokerage listings. The dedicated superyacht area remains central to the show, offering private viewing opportunities and direct engagement between buyers and industry representatives.

Alongside the yacht display, the event brings together naval architects, designers, equipment manufacturers and technical service providers, reflecting the broader operational ecosystem that supports the regional fleet. This combination of yachts and industry infrastructure reinforces Palma’s role as both a commercial hub and a logistical centre for Mediterranean yachting.

Unlike lifestyle led events, the Palma International Boat Show maintains a strong focus on transactions, refits and seasonal positioning, making it a commercially driven platform within the global show circuit.

As the first major yachting event of the European season, the 2026 edition is expected to set the tone for brokerage activity and fleet movements across the Western Mediterranean, reaffirming Mallorca’s strategic importance within the superyacht industry.
